To make Honey Garlic Pork Chops you will need pork chops, honey and garlic. While these are the central ingredients, you will also require lemon juice, soy sauce and salt and pepper. You will, of course, need oil to cook the pork chops in. For about four pork chops you will use three or four cloves of garlic and one fourth cup of honey.
Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and set aside while you get the glaze ready. In a bowl, mix together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce and lemon juice. You will use two tablespoons of lemon juice and two teaspoons of soy sauce.

Heat the oil in a skillet at medium heat and put in the pork chops. Do not be in a rush to turn them over. Let each side brown well for about three to four minutes. Make sure the pork chops are well seared before you pour in the glaze. Use a spatula to gently dislodge any brown bits of pork that are stuck to the bottom of the skillet. These will add flavor to your glaze.
Cook the pork chops for another five to ten minutes, depending on how thick they are. Pork should ideally be cooked to 145 degrees Fahrenheit. You can use a culinary thermometer to check the temperature. You could also cut a chop to check whether it is done. If the center is pale pink, you can turn off the heat. The pork chops will continue to cook while they rest. So leave the pork chops to sit in the glaze and absorb that delicious honey garlicky flavor.
Get Serving
Remove the pork chops and place them on a serving plate and pour the remaining glaze in the pan over them. The dish is best enjoyed with rice and stir fried vegetables. You can pan sear the pork chops in advance and remove and place them on a greased baking dish. Pour in the glaze over the pork chops. About forty minutes before dinner time place the dish in a preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. When the baking time is done, do allow the pork chop adequate resting time to absorb the flavors.
