It is never too early to prepare for Halloween. The world may seem uncertain right now but it will keep on turning and life will go on. We should try to get back some sense of normalcy by celebrating the things that we usually do while having as much fun as possible. Halloween is certainly great fun for the many who like the gore and spookiness of it all. Some have made it a point to decorate their front porch every year for the trick-or-treaters. There is no reason to stop now. After all, everyone’s in their homes anyway so we might as well make the experience memorable. Below are some things you may want to add to your décor:

Animated Hanging Phantom, you could spook the people passing by through an animated hanging phantom. You could create your own using cut up trash bags, a hanger, a wig, and tiny lights for the eyes. To make it easier, simply purchase one online for an instant prop. You can find ones with motion detection. They will sense when something is moving near them, causing them to light up the eyes and let out a pained ghoulish sound. These will truly scare anyone coming up to your house while you have a blast watching their reactions from the inside.

Screaming Doormat

You could also try to get a screaming doormat which looks unassuming so no one would suspect that something was afoot. The porch may be decorated by the typical Halloween props like pumpkin lanterns with sinister faces, life-size skeletons in interesting poses, spooky spider webs in excess, and anything else that you might want to add. Guests will not suspect that the actual surprise is literally under their noses. The doormat is sensitive to pressure so it will detect their presence when they step onto the surface. The sudden scream will rattle almost anyone.

Tombstone Décor

Consider using things that you might have never included in your horror display. For example, why not use tombstone décor as your primary attention grabber. Place these on your front yard to make it seem like someone is actually buried there. You could add actual candles or electronic ones with batteries. Add flowers for the grave as well. Place spotlights on the faux stone to attract more attention. There are many ways to spice this up if you let your imagination run wild. Your decorations will be the toast of the neighborhood.
