We’ve all seen strippers at some point in our lives, whether it was a muscle-bound firefighter saving you from a friend’s hen’s party, a naughty cop in fishnets giving you a lesson, or even a movie like Showgirls. We’ve all seen it, and it’s always a good time whether you’re a man or a woman.

But why can’t you touch strippers but can do so for male strippers? This is a topic that has arisen at some point, maybe more so from men. The answer is not such a straightforward one.

There are many things at play here, the most evident of which revolves around the dreaded gender issue. I’d like to state that I am a firm believer in gender equality but that there are times when a line must be drawn.

Stripping is traditionally a female-dominated industry, with men just beginning to expose their underwear in the late 1970s, and I believe there’s a good reason for this. Men’s and women’s bodies are distinct—but not too different. A naked lady automatically arouses straight guys on a biological level. I guess you’re beginning to wonder why can’t you touch a stripper.

On the other hand, a naked male does not elicit the same response in a straight woman. Don’t get me wrong: we’re not laughing at your junk, but it’s usually a type of comic entertainment that brings the girls together.

You wouldn’t expect to see a group of women sitting in darker corners waving $20 bills at the boys in a male strip club, but that’s exactly what you’ll see in a female strip club.

Your job as a male stripper is to get people entertained. You’ll get tipped if you make women laugh, make them feel risqué for a night, and impress them with your policeman dance abilities. The primary purpose of a female stripper is to seduce guys.

Though why can’t you touch a stripper question has generated a lot of reactions in the past and is still on the front burner as we speak, we can only do little or nothing to change that fact.

Some men are furious about it; others take it lightly and overlook it, believing someday, something will be done to change the rule.

More reasons on why can’t you touch a stripper…

If a woman doesn’t want to have her genitalia and pubic hair thrown in her face, she should touch the man’s abs instead. Maybe he should keep his hands to himself if a woman waving her junk all over the place is  arousing him.

Being able to touch female strippers would be inappropriate. Having said that, if a male stripper doesn’t want to be touched by a lady, don’t let it happen.

Why can’t you touch a stripper rule may not seem fair, but that’s what we have on our hands—and it doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon. More info here.
