The need for safe agile training has become more pressing over the last few years as many technology organizations embraced agile principles on their teams. The Scaled Agile Framework (Safeguard) was developed by the Toyota Research Institute in the early 1990s to teach the basics of agile to the larger organization. Over time, several large corporations have implemented the Scaled Agile Framework, with most of them now offering a formal certification program.
The certification requires a candidate to have a foundation in computer science, software engineering, and business law. Candidates can expect to be tested on various topics, including testing of code compliance, modeling, and specification creation, and design improvement. A safe agilist certification typically focuses on one of two areas. One may look at architectural issues such as flow and model estimation and data conversion. The other area focuses on problem-solving techniques for software teams.
Once a person passes the certification exam, he or she will be officially called a “safe agilist.” To be certified, an individual must complete the coursework and complete the practice test, which consists of both a written and a hands-on, real-life scenario exam. To pass the practice test, a person must demonstrate knowledge of the topics taught in the course. In order to pass the written portion, the certified safe agilist must demonstrate that he or she understands the concept of a waterfall and the associated requirements.
Scaled teams often make the best use of the Lean-AGile principles to achieve the best results in an organization. This is because the Agile framework is scalable. Therefore, if the organization adopts a scaled approach to the development process, the same basic principles will be followed. Hence, the certified safeguard will understand the differences between the Agile and Lean concepts and how these concepts will affect his or her career path. He or she will thus be better equipped to make the best choices for his or her career. Thus, Agile and Lean project managers and employees must get the proper training to understand and apply the principles of the framework. However, training needs to be structured to enable employees to take the concepts into the real world.
Therefore, safe Agile training is necessary since it will enable project managers and employees to implement the Agile and Lean principles in the workplace. The certification of the practitioners will thus help in creating a more efficient and productive work environment. There is a greater chance for the organization to achieve its set goals and objectives.
