Ways To Protect Your Children With Disposable Face Masks

The flu season is starting, and it’s time to buy disposable face masks for children. There are many different types of masks on the market, but not all are safe for children. In this blog post, we will discuss ways that you can protect your child from catching a cold by using a disposable mask!

Ways to Protect Your Children with Disposable Face Masks

Many people in China suffer from respiratory problems due to their surroundings. The World Health Organisation (WHO) found air pollution levels in Beijing were 18 times higher than what was considered safe. This has led parents to buy disposable face masks for themselves and their family members by the thousand! Unfortunately, it’s also an issue here in Australia. Research shows over half of us work inside with no access to fresh air, which ultimately affects our health. It can be hard enough buying things, like even more difficult when you buy face masks for children.

The following are some tips to buy disposable face masks for children:

  • buy different types of masks, especially the ones that will filter out pollen and dust. If your child suffers from allergies or asthma, choose a mask designed with this in mind.
  • buy reusable cloth masks if you’re on a tight budget or don’t use them often since they can be washed and reused many times over. However, these should only be used outside as they do not protect against airborne particles such as pollen and dust.
  • buy surgical-style masks which completely cover the mouth and nose if your child spends a lot of time around someone who has been diagnosed with flu symptoms – but remember to take it off now and then for a bit of fresh air.
  • buy masks with exhalation valves if you plan to use them for outdoor exercise where they will be working up a sweat. This is because these types of filters trap the moisture in the mask, which can then drip into your child’s eyes and irritate their skin when worn for long periods.
  • buy hypoallergenic masks with no chemical additives or metal parts to avoid any reactions with sensitive skins – especially around the eyes, nose, and mouth area. Many children suffer from allergies, so this should be considered during purchase too. These generally come without an exhalation valve because children do not breathe as heavily.
  • buy the best possible masks for your child, whether this is a disposable or reusable type – always ensure they are comfortable to wear and provide protection against dust particles when working around the house
