Leaders who exhibit great empathy and interest in the opinions and lives of others are very reliable because people like to believe in people who care about them. A great leader who displays great empathy for those under their command will also be trusted. Furthermore, when a company is run well, and the leaders take an interest in their subordinates and the tasks at hand, they are more likely to be successful.
One of the most difficult leadership traits to learn and master is self-confidence. Self-confidence is difficult to achieve, but some people have it in their genes. However, effective leaders overcome self-confidence by becoming convinced that they can do whatever it is they set out to do. If a company does not believe in its product or service, then it will fail. Likewise, if a leader does not think himself capable of leading, then he or she will likely fail.
