How to grow in Christ is a long journey that allows one to have different experiences of enriching themselves in variety of ways. It also helps us understand how Christ has already developed in us a nature that is like His so that we may be able to correspond with our heavenly father.

Having some time for prayer

This is because it’s believed that prayers usually open heavenly blessings, it’s also a way of interacting with God, and also they help one grow spiritually. The bible also advises that it’s always good to give thanks in all circumstances because this is the will of God in Christ for everyone.

Find someone who will offer mentorship

Finding a mentor is also another way of helping one in growing in Christ, however, the mentor should be someone who is mature spiritually and has a lot of experience in the journey of walking with Christ. They always help in giving advice and guidance whenever it’s needed.

Memorizing the word of Christ

Memorizing the scripture is an important thing to do in the journey of growing in Christ, this is because the scripture will help us tackle our day-to-day obstacles, and we will also be required to apply the scripture in one way or the other.

Another benefit of remembering the scripture is that we will be able to lead a Christ-like life, For example, when Jesus was attacked by Satan at the mountain of temptation, he responded to him by quoting the word of Christ.

Reading the word of Christ

It’s always necessary for born-again Christians to read the word of God because it’s normally vital for spiritual growth. Another benefit of reading the word is that it helps us to grow a close relationship with him because of the quality time spent in the word.

Finding a local church

This is very essential especially for new believers because one will be able to meet with other believers and learn new ways of growing in Christ by joining new believer’s classes and also getting enriched with the word of god. Joining a local church also gives one accountability whereby one is able to serve in different ministries.

This is because Christ has given us different abilities, and thus when we serve through them we become more Christ-like. Worship is also the other way to help us grow in Christ because when we worship we express who He is to us.
