Dealing with Anger without using drugs or medical professionals:
HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU THOUGHT TO YOURSELF ” THAT PERSON JUST NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH ” BECAUSE OF THE WAY THEY MAY ERK YOU TO THE POINT WHERE YOUR ANGER WILL DRIVE OVER THE EDGE?
HAS ANGER EVER GOT HOLD OF YOUR EMOTIONAL STATE SO MUCH THAT YOU LOSE CONTROL TO THE POINT OF BLACKING OUT AND REMEMBER NOTHING AFTERWARDS?
HAS THERE BEEN SITUATIONS IN YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU THOUGHT RELEASING ALL YOUR ANGER ON A CERTAIN PERSON OR THING IS THE ONLY WAY OUT?
Well, speaking from personal experience on Dealing with Anger, I have experienced one or two of these before and without the use of medical professionals and or medical drugs ( even illegal drugs)
It can and will help you as well if this is the way you want to go and maybe only if it doesn’t work for you, only then seek the expensive and drug-induced treatments by seeking help from medical professionals.
So before doing the following, try to remove yourself from the situation physically, that is causing this flare-up of anger, and if you cant maybe just turn your back on it then……
- 1 – BREATHING:
Yes, something we do unconsciously every day of our lives and is so simple to do can make a huge difference between giving in to that emotion that leads to even more damage than the actual anger itself.
By changing your breathing pattern and closing your eyes you can change the way you see a situation that is leading you to that anger.
So close your eyes, take long slow breathes in through the nose until you feel your diaphragm has expanded to its maximum, and now hold it there for a few seconds then slowly release it out of the mouth and let your shoulders drop to its lowest point as you exhale.
Think of happy thoughts during this process and do it a few times one after the other.
- 2 – TALKING:
If you have the time or the opportunity talk to someone who you can trust and is a good listener, and doesn’t even matter whether the person can offer a solution, the actual talking about the problem which is causing the anger, can help just as well (known as letting it out/getting it off your shoulders)
- 3 – RE-FOCUSING:
Try and re-focus your thoughts and energy on something positive when you feel the anger starting to build-up especially if you cannot get out of the situation physically at that time
