People like to see art on their walls. A plain wall is strangely more distracting than one covered with photographs and prints; even the most spartan apartment has some decoration. For most people, this means tracking down some form of art to place on their walls, and this can mean looking for art prints online. Fortunately, there are numerous sites where this art can be found; it is usually just a matter of looking for it. The only issue is what kind of prints a person should be looking at, and how to pull it off; this is fortunately not that hard.
The Basics To Keep In Mind
One of the best tricks is to use an image that you yourself have created. However, most people forget about resolution issues when they create the original image. The biggest issue is that they forget to adjust the size of the picture when they take it, and so the resolution tends to be too small; the size that works well for a phone is not going to be the size that works well for a print. With that in mind, make sure that the resolution is at 300 pixels/inch and that the actual size is at 5000 pixels in one direction. While this is going to create a much larger file than you absolutely need, it will make sure that you have enough resolution for an excellent print.
Other Limitations
It is easy to tell an amateur from a professional: The two biggest differences are composition and busyness. The latter is usually the bigger problem; an amateur picture has too much going on and so some of the action is lost. As such, try to limit the picture to just one major action per picture. Also, try to avoid putting the action dead center; it looks better when it is just off a little bit. If you want to take a better picture for print purposes, track down some of the articles and videos on it, but keep in mind that the same rules of composition that apply to a photo apply to a drawing or other art as well.
Most artists like to see their art prints online. This advice will not only allow you to create your own prints, but you could sell them to others; there is always a market for good art. However, for those trying to decorate their walls with their own images, it is relatively simple, as long as you have fun with the process.
