When you’re a parent, the healthy development of your baby is your first priority. One area that should be given special attention is what they eat. As their body grows and matures, so too does their taste for food. This means it’s important to provide them with healthy options from an early age. The three recipes below are healthy choices for any baby who eats solid foods!
1) Carrot-Apple Puree, 2) Avocado Baby Pudding, and 3) Fruit Smoothie.
Carrot-Apple Puree:
- Peel and cut up four small carrots
- Cut one apple into pieces
- Place the carrot and apples in a pot of water.
- Boil until soft, then drain off excess water.
Avocado Baby Pudding:
- Take half an avocado and remove skin and pit.
- Mash with fork or puree in a food processor along with some breast milk to achieve the desired consistency for your baby.
Fruit Smoothie: This is a healthy choice that can be made quickly without much preparation required! If you want to take it easy on yourself, this is definitely the recipe for you! All you’ll need are frozen cubes of fruit (raspberries, strawberries, peaches) blended together with some breast milk or formula.
You can also blend up carrots into nice smooth textures which makes them perfect for babies who aren’t too keen on vegetables at first taste! Place the carrot and apples in a pot of water. Boil them on low heat for about 20 minutes and then puree the mixture in a blender or food processor along with some breast milk to achieve the desired consistency for your baby.
Here are some other choices:
Whole Wheat Bread: Babies have very sensitive digestive systems which are why healthy foods are so important when it comes to their diets! Whole wheat bread is an excellent choice, especially if you’re looking for ways of introducing whole grains into your little one’s diet.
All you need is flour (either whole grain or all-purpose), salt, yeast, water, and olive oil! As always, make sure that everything is organic. Add these ingredients together until they form a dough and knead them well before placing them in either a loaf pan or over a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Let it rise, cut off the excess dough, and bake for half an hour at 375 degrees F.
This healthy baby food recipe is super easy to make! If you’re looking for a healthy alternative that’s quick to prepare then this one will be perfect for you!
Banana Oatmeal Cookies: Babies are often picky eaters so healthy alternatives can really come in handy when your little one doesn’t seem interested in their usual meals anymore. Banana oatmeal cookies are not only healthy but they also taste delicious! All you need is flour (either whole grain or all-purpose), baking powder, salt, oats (old-fashioned or rolled), banana puree (or mashed bananas),/molasses, coconut oil, and brown sugar.
Your baby’s health depends on what they’re fed throughout the day; therefore it’s important to know about healthy baby food recipes that will encourage healthy development from within!
